Class Announcements Day 6 and DebriefingSimulation Complete
Thank you to everyone in Blocks 1, 3, and 6 for a successful and intriguing experience in Battlefield: Arctic Circle. We will upload the Day 4, 5, and 6 materials as well as compressed versions of the multimedia experiences that were part of the simulation during April. Day ThreeThursday, March 12 / Friday, March 13
Day Three After three simulated days, the global geopolitical situation is vastly different. All three classes are dealing with increasing tensions in at least one area of the world, though which area and which tensions vary tremendously. Each class was faced with a challenging domestic emergency, and all classes still grapple with a faltering economy. Remember, that effective Day Three, all real-world news stories are now "out of the game" unless specifically introduced in the simulation, as your hypothetical worlds have become very different places from the actual one. Rest up over the weekend, Ladies and Gentlemen. Our escalating crisis will ramp into high gear for Day Four, as we begin the final six class days of Battlefield: Arctic Circle. Day OneFriday, March 6 / Monday, March 9
Day One Day One officially begins the simulation. Activites for Day One will center around the initial daily briefing, a review of the current state of the Global Situation Indicators, and the open-floor debate amongst the members of the Executive. Remember: Your chief responsibility is to play your role and to make progress towards achieving your five Individual Objectives as listed in your dossier. The class is counting on you! Day ZeroWednesday, March 4 / Thursday, March 5
Day Zero Day Zero class activities include the video introduction, overview of the simulation, participation contracting, role assignments, initial briefing, review of the Global Situation Indicators, and discussion of recent events. Day One (Friday and Monday) will include the first round of Discovery, Debate, and Decision phases for the United States' first turn in the simulation. Discussion Topics Class Files
